gradar is the complete solution for designing and managing a job architecture. With this software, we help organizations of all kinds to carry out a consistent job evaluation that creates fair and transparent salary structures. This is done by taking into account market data, for example from Culpepper or Lurse, as well as an internal analysis of the actual distribution and the gender pay gap. The software also bridges the gap to talent management by outputting job-specific skills and AI-generated job descriptions.
We developed our core product “gradar” after recognizing a gap in the market between the expertise offered by expensive compensation consultants and the demand for an affordable software solution for independent use in companies.
Since we went online with our first version in late summer 2015, we have continuously developed new functions and acquired over 300 customers. Around 40 percent of these come from the DACH region, while the remaining 60 percent are spread around the world from A for Australia to Z for Zimbabwe, with a focus on the UK, the Netherlands, Spain and the USA.
In addition to corporations such as Deutsche Bahn and the Otto Group, our customers include many medium-sized companies such as the Röchling Group and DKV Mobility, as well as start-ups and scale-ups such as Climeworks, Open-Xchange, Sparks, Vulcan Energy and NGOs such as BirdLife and SOS Children’s Villages.
We financed our company exclusively from our own resources (bootstrapped). This has taught us to work economically and effectively from the outset and allows us to focus on operating as an independent company with the best product and the fastest customer service.
As the application provider, we believe in a technical sales approach. When a prospect calls, they will immediately speak to someone who knows our product and the practice of job evaluation. If someone wants to try the system for themselves, they can do so by going to the website and signing up for a time-limited trial account. This is a unique approach in our industry because all the other providers are very secretive about what they offer.
Founded in 2014, we are a Düsseldorf-based HR tech scale-up focused on the development and implementation of the innovative gradar platform. With two offices in the UK and the USA, we support our customers locally.
Our servers run in Deutsche Telekom’s geo-redundant data centers in Germany and are maintained by us exclusively from Germany.

Real salary data can be loaded via one of the numerous interfaces to HiBob, Personio, SAP SuccessFactors, Workday etc. and provide insights into the gender pay gap and the existing remuneration structure.
In addition, market data from e.g. Culpepper and Lurse can be seamlessly integrated, but also uploaded from other third-party providers, actual salaries can be compared with market values and effective compensation structures can be designed, which you can seamlessly test with a compa-ratio analysis.
